How this estimate works
The calculator uses the standard resting energy requirement formula (70 x body weight in kg to the power of 0.75) multiplied by a life-stage factor. Real needs vary with metabolism, body condition and health, so treat the number as a starting point and adjust with your vet. Weigh your cat monthly and adjust portions slowly.
